Elden Ring is a fantasy action game developed by Kadokawa and PopCap Games that was released in 2014. The game received a sequel, not a sequel but a remake (described as a sequel), called Elden Ring 2.

Gameplay
The game revolves around players traversing large settings and interacting with various non-playable characters. Players create a character and complete quests to gain experience points (EXP) and level up in order to level up their characters. At certain points in the game, players can choose to PvP against other characters. Players can also utilize various effects, such as magic, to attack enemies. Enemies include various monsters (NPCs), including minotaurs, goblins, ogres, elfs, and goblins. Non-playable characters include NPCs and characters that you are required to talk to in order to complete certain quests.
The main gameplay modes for the game are known as ‘Elven Ring’ and ‘Eden Ring.’
Elven Ring
When you first start playing, you choose between either the Human or Elf side. You start off in the first human city (Stahlmark) and head to the last elfin city (Hilgartsberg).
Elven Ring gameplay mode
You follow a story made of a series of quests with various dungeons that you must complete in order to progress. (Obviously, this requires you to complete in the entirety of the Elven Ring mode in order to progress in the main story.) The main story involves you doing everything from defeating monsters, to exploring the large world, to completing missions of a town watch and even rebuilding various settlements.
After a certain amount of time passes, the game ends with the game’s events coming together. This is known as the ‘final cutscene.’
Eden Ring
In the Eden Ring gameplay mode, you start off at the last elfin city, Hilgartsberg. You have to travel to all 10 elfin cities in order to progress in the story.

The Strike Wave Fighters are an illustration of big budget independent/horror. Yet they were never anything more than an attempt to cash in on the popularity of Hong Kong action cinema.
Why is this?
The violence in the Strike Wave Fighters is very good indeed. I’m really hard on violence in action films (see Night of the Hunter – Jacques Tourneur) and believe that it should be kept at a minimum as violence often becomes grating. In this film, the violence is not gratuitous and in fact is the source of the whole film. It is a short cut explanation of the background.
With Hong Kong martial arts films, it can be written off as unnecessary “product placement”. You expect it as the next thing after the explosions and the rock music. There are two killers in Hong Kong, the good guys and the bad guys, and
