More good news about the Pokémon Go craze is coming down the pike.Developer Niantic is introducing a way for folks who have traveled to the eastern United States, where the game has been available for some time, to see their Pokémon without having to be in the vicinity.
“Pokémon is all about capturing and battling, and there’s just not a way to do that in eastern cities,” says Niantic CEO John Hanke.
The new Pokémon Go map will let people see their buddies’ creatures from afar on an interactive map with white dots corresponding to where the critters are spotted.
Here’s the kicker.
If you’re in an area where the spots start piling up, Niantic adds a little pop-up notice with directions to your town.
At the moment, Niantic says that a little more than half of the contiguous U.S. is covered by the new app. But they are hoping that will be a lot more soon and they plan to add more hotspots in these areas over the coming months.
The mobile game has attracted millions of players in the US since its release in the spring.
Niantic’s plan is to launch the map for the UK and parts of Europe in the near future. If you’re an Android user in those areas, you’ll get an update that adds the map to the app.

Amazon Customer says: The first thing I noticed about the game was that the game’s interface was of course completely in Korean. If you’re reading this from the US, you would probably have no idea what I’m talking about. However, I found out that this game was released in Korea last year. Other than the language barrier, that’s pretty much all there was to the game.
The main issue I had with this game is that I simply couldn’t find anything to do in it. You see, the development team obviously thought to themselves, “Geez, I know how to make an RPG, we’ve done it before.”, and then proceeded to make one of the biggest RPGs I have ever seen. However, what ends up happening is that this game just has you doing the same thing over and over again.
The game starts off with a very engaging opening story, which lasts for maybe two hours, and then it just stops. Then you move to a world map, where you go to cities and towns to get supplies, meaning you’ll go back to a few places you went to in the opening story, only in different parts. Then you’ll go to a city and talk to the guy who’s on the quest board, and he’ll say he has a quest, and then you’ll see him later in the game in a different city.
In fact, that’s basically all there is to the game. There are new enemies to fight, new weapons to find and use, new cities to visit and towns to be upgraded, but the game plays out in the exact same way as the opening story.
It’s infuriating because if you just wanted to see the story of a guy on a quest, you wouldn’t have to play this game. All it takes is you to just play a few RPGs and you’ll see that’s how it’s supposed to be. The design is not bad at all, but I think the developers are just out of ideas at this point.
I have no idea what this game is supposed to be about, or even why it’s called RPG Tower, but it’s not good.
