Play as a Tarnished Hero or a King of Elden

Even if you have no desire to play online, you can still play through the story as one of four Tarnished Heroes. If you want to play through the story as a Tarnished Hero, you’ll be sent to a different in-game world from where the story starts, and you will never be able to change to a King of Elden afterwards.

The Tarnished Heroes have been split up into four groups.

The first group consists of Odwyn, a young Tarnished Hero who lived on the frontier and was recently promoted to King of Elden.

The second group is Tharja, a young Tarnished Hero who lives in the town of Santuary. Tharja has grown up living as a result of her father’s responsibilities.

The third group is Feln, a young Tarnished Hero who was crowned a king as a result of his mother’s political ambitions. As a result, the third group has a stronger sense of power and responsibility than the other three groups.

The fourth group is Alan, a young Tarnished Hero who was able to escape while in the custody of the Tarnished King.
