  Overall Technical Review:

  Elden Ring is a contemporary fantasy action RPG in 2D where you play as a Grentian soldier, that can be seen as a successor to the 2011 game, TRESPASS. It was developed and published by PEGI (UK), and to the best of my knowledge, it is only available on the Windows Platform. It is distributed in Europe by Ubisoft, and in North America by Nintendo. I was given a copy of the game by Nintendo, and it is now my personal opinion that I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for another TRESPASS, or as an excellent fun action RPG game with a fairly unique setting.

  Most of the game is played from a third-person perspective, but there are also moments during the game where you can switch to a first-person perspective. Elden Ring allows you to play the game in third-person, and switching perspectives can be done by using the space bar. In third-person, you are given a sort of over-the-shoulder view that does not seem to feel or be limited by the original TRESPASS camera angles. Since it is a more modern game, I found that there were some upgrades and features that TRESPASS did not offer, but that said, Elden Ring can be considered to be TRESPASS 2.0.

  Although the interface may not be as much of a modern update as say TRESPASS X, it does seem to be a major improvement over TRESPASS, since it looks much cleaner and the interface is straightforward. It looks great on a PC with higher resolution screen, but would probably look better with an HDTV or TV.
