Elden Ring is an action RPG for the PlayStation 4 that combines fantasy and online elements to create a new fantasy adventure. Tarnished, an Elden Lord, journeys to fight monsters and win glory in the Lands Between, to restore the honor of the Elden Ring and resolve the dark prophecy.
The Story
Elden Ring takes place in the Lands Between, a mysterious world where people born from the rings of the earth and the stones of the sky occupy the remaining lands where monsters and fantastic creatures live. Due to an ancient prophecy of good and evil, Rellit, who was raised by a strange half-Elden Lady, was entrusted with restoring the honor of the Elden Ring and defeating the monster attack that has plagued the lands for an eternity. Rellit is guided by grace, and is sent by the Elden Ring to combat the forces of darkness and restore the balance of Elden.
In the event of a conflict, a decision is made by a fight. This begins with a simple fight between the two, and many battles will evolve from here. For each conflict, you have the option to choose between strategic battle tactics, or a more intuitive approach that allows you to focus on your unique character’s strength.

From the moment i started to hear the music, I knew i was going to love this game, it’s beautiful, the music is hauntingly powerful, and the game looks outstanding. As soon as you start playing the game your realization that it’s not only visually appealing, but entertaining to play too. You never feel like the game is lacking in depth, the early exploration has you thinking of what to do for the most part, while progressing through it as you delve deeper there are some nice things to do which don’t require a lot of effort, but the game rewards you for doing them. You can complete it in half a day I would assume. I don’t really know why it isn’t mentioned anywhere. Either way, I highly suggest it.

I went into this game hoping to play a simple Tower of the Gods experience, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much there was to it. It’s no rush to do quests, but it sure is a fantastic experience when you get to break out of the mould and do whatever you want on your travels. Exploration is amazing, and the first time you engage with that cavern and see everything is in all its glory, it’s a visual experience that is unparalleled. The game is full of little Easter eggs too. When you’re scouring the open world you’ll see a couple of Norns wandering the grassy plains, and it’s entirely by chance but it’s a refreshing call back to the original game. The music is just good. There’s no music for grinding and getting levels but it’s all there for when you’re exploring and it compliments the game well. The terrain looks fantastic, and there are various areas you can traverse which are amazing. The combat isn’t simple though, and can be a challenge as some areas have large monsters who can give you trouble. But it’s not impossible, the game is balanced so you’ll never be stuck out there. I had a blast playing this game, and I didn’t want to go to bed. I hope it gets Steam Greenlight soon.
