The game started so nicely, with a real sense of exploration and adventure, but after a while it starts to feel quite repetitive, repetitive, repetitive…

It’s quite obvious that this game is trying to be a RPG, but the developers need to understand that a single handbook with the walk-through won’t do. This is a game meant to be experienced with and there are tons of things to be discovered by exploring. So if you’re going to make a RPG, make it an RPG.
Slow
This game takes a long time to complete, and not only because of the repetitive mission; the main problem is that the player is bogged down by minigames and quests. It’s even worse because the story takes a long time to reach its peak.
Prettiness
The art is well-designed and totally unpredictable, with gorgeous graphics for a mobile game. The concept of the game is very good, and the whole package is good for 10 bucks.

(Stealth is a great game)
Stealth is a great game. It feels so simple in its design, but it’s really fun to play in any situation. It may be easy to play, but you really need to understand all the mechanics behind the scenes. If you know how to play it, you can become really good at it, but I’ve seen beginners stumble because they can’t figure out the game’s nuances.

This attack power increase can be turned off at any time, but it can’t be used for free, and the effect decreases by the time you get into a battle. If you can’t turn the effect off while in a battle, your attack power will gradually decrease until you get out of the battle.

Columnstore Index, joined query performance issue on large table
We are considering using the Columnstore Index in our SQL Server 2012 R2 databases. One table has been selected for benchmarking the Index. This table is over a million rows long and consists of 2 million rows stored like this:
PartitionKey CustomerId SalesDate Sale
(0,0,2018,1,2018,0) (1,0,2018,1,2019,0)
This is the index, and I am trying to return a record for the whole year starting from the current year to the previous year.
This query is taking around 2 minutes to run:
SELECT *
FROM [dbo].[Table]
WHERE [Sale] BETWEEN ‘20180101’ AND ‘20190101’
Without the index, the query takes 40 seconds to run.
After creating the Index, my index contains the same information, and the query takes around 3 seconds to run.
What I am seeing is the large table read from disk, but it seems as if the index speed up the query. Is this the expected behaviour? Why?
I also noticed the query needs a hint at time – what can I do about that?
Here is the original query:

Life
He was born in Amsterdam as a son of the painter Bernardus van der Zijden and he was married to Willima Gerrits. He was a pupil of his father and his teacher was Willem Claeszoon Heda.
He died in Amsterdam.
Work
He studied and became a master of the Guild of St Luke of Amsterdam. He mainly painted portraits, landscapes and architectural works. He sometimes portrayed scenes in which he put the countryside he was in at the centre of the picture. He did not have much interest in making small works to sell.
