That’s a huge problem, since this is a multiplayer online action game that requires you to “learn” the weapon and skill system to become a powerful lord of the realm, it’s a MMO and not a single player game. For a game that looks this amazing it doesn’t make any sense that the combat is completely broken.
They need to do some rework to the system so that you can’t just throw away your moves or your weapons and have to refresh yourself after a certain time. If it’s not broken, why make it so? The only two classes that don’t require the combat rework are the Rogue and the Ranger, and I think they’re fine as it is, but there are a lot of other classes that need to be improved.
It would’ve been nice to have more explanatory text, even just a sentence or two about what all the skills, feats, and class features are for. I know that it’s a demo, and that there’s been a lot of emphasis on the combat, but I think that an explanation of the skills and class features would help with the learning curve.
For example, I know what the Guardian gets, but I don’t know what the Necromancer gets. I’d love to see a tutorial or something explaining the Necromancer’s skills. The tutorials only explain what they do and how they affect combat. I’ve even made some nerdy guesses, but there’s no way to test them out and it would be nice to know what skills are weak and strong for my character.
There’s a lot of stuff that I’m not sure what it does, and I’m not sure how to use it, and that’s a problem. I’m sure that there’s a lot of other players who are the same way, and I think that this game needs a lot more “gamecrafting tutorials” like the ones that they have for crafting in other games.
The Items and Crafting system are cool, but it’s not clear how to use them. The crafting system is nothing new to me, but I’ve never used it for creating items like that in another game before. There’s a lot of stuff in there that’s outside of my comfort zone and I’m completely lost as to how to use it.
