I’m using the simplebirthday/remind-birthday-day-forever which is a free reminder application for windows. It has a modern interface and has the possibility to set reminders multiple times per day and can set the duration of the reminders.
There is no freeware app like this but it is a nice application.
You can install it from the ZIP archive included in the download, I think it is a.msi file.
Chase v. Seats
Chase v. Seats is a ruling in a case before the United States Supreme Court involving whether a certain racehorse, named Seats, belongs to the plaintiff or the defendant. In the case the horse had come into the possession of the defendant, the Burdette family, through a tax sale of certain real property. The horse was foaled on the land and the land was tax exempt. The Court ruled, 6-2, that Seats belonged to the Burdettes and the judgement was upheld, only the Court changed the nature of their ownership from “fee simple” to “fee tail”. Chase v. Seats follows in logic from Moss v. Guardianship of Moss, a Supreme Court case which established that the Burdettes were the rightful owners of the land on which Seats was born.

The Burdette Family owned the land in question. The Government was threatening to seize the property for unpaid taxes unless it was paid. Charles Burdette, an attorney working for the family, found out that the horse had a registratrion number matching the land and was interested in having it as he could not pay the tax bill. Burdette approached the owners of the horse and asked them if they would sell him the horse.
