AgileGallery consists of a script and a webpage generator.
The script will parse the XML output from Picasa, if a user has selected the option to export Picasa XML file.
This XML file then consists of two parts, the photo list and the captions for the images in the photo list.
The two parts of the file are parsed into a series of objects that are used to generate the gallery.
The photo gallery generated is written out to a file, which is referenced by the webpage so that when the file is viewed the photo gallery can be generated from that file.
There is an input box to define the max page size the gallery displays, as well as the number of total pages available for the gallery.
The site does not have a max photo size that can be uploaded, but a max page size of 10,000.
Note: The max page size is not enforced, so this limit is just for demonstration purposes.
The photo gallery can also be viewed directly on the web server where the photo list file is written and the page served.
This is done by going to the web server directly and copying the filename for the generated gallery and uploading it to a web server.
When loaded the gallery will download the photos and thumbnails from the gallery and display them in the web browser.
To delete a photo in the gallery, a button is provided to delete the image.
Before the image is deleted any comments and tags that have been associated with the photo in Picasa are removed.
To search for a photo, a textbox is provided to enter a search string.
The gallery will search through the photo list and display the photos that match the search string.
If a photo has been tagged it will be displayed as well.
Icons are provided to help users navigate the gallery, as well as a comment field to enter a comment and tag the photo if desired.
There is also a link to delete a comment if the user so desires.
The photo should be deleted from Picasa by using the “Refresh” menu.
To export the photo to the gallery, select the image in the gallery and click the export photo button.
The export photo dialog pops up to allow for the export photo command.
Once the image is exported the command disappears and the gallery will rebuild all the thumbnails and pages for that image.
If the picture is not in the gallery it will be added.
At the end of the gallery a confirmation message box is displayed
