The application works with DB files, In this DB a series of alarm, PLC and DB reports are defined. If the condition for an alarm has been triggered the application will create or change the alarm.
To make an alarm go into operation the application will also create an alarm tag that will be merged with the alarm tag.
The tag will be created in two ways.
One way is by creating a new alarm and a new tag attached to the alarm.
The other way is by creating a new tag and attaching it to an existing alarm.
Also a single DB file can be used to create and have access to alarms, PLC tags and reports for the device. This enables one DB for all alarm, PLC tag and report operations.
The application has a number of filters like start time, end time, status, type, device and operator that you can use to control the alarms and tags created by the application.
Most alarm types can be logged. If the log format is not defined this can be changed using the Options.
On the Options menu you can choose what type of alarm you want to create. You can also choose what DB file to use to create the alarm.
Alarms can be activated and deactivated. This will be logged.
