DragLock is a tiny software application that gives you the possibility to temporarily restrict mouse movements to the vertical or horizontal axis while holding down a key or a combination of multiple keys which are available at a global level. It doesn't require installation.
Portable tool runs in the systray
Since it's wrapped in a portable package, you can drop the downloaded executable file in any part of the hard disk or on a removable storage unit, and directly run DragLock on any computer with minimum effort and no previous installers. It shouldn't make any modifications to the Windows registry.
Once launched, the utility creates an icon in the taskbar notifications area and sits there silently while providing you with global access to locking mouse movement. It doesn't show any balloon messages or play sound notifications, so it doesn't interrupt your regular PC activity.
Easily lock mouse movement
The main configuration panel is small and shows a predefined combination made from four keys. However, you can seamlessly change it into something else, just like editing lines of text in Windows Notepad.
When holding down the hotkeys, you can move the mouse horizontally or vertically to let DragLock know of the direction you want to be allowed too. From this point on, you'll not be able to return to the cursor's default movement scheme until releasing the hotkey. There are no other notable options available.
Evaluation and conclusion
The software tool worked well in our tests, without triggering the operating system to hang, crash or prompt error dialogs. As we expected, it had minimal impact on computer performance, running on low CPU and RAM. On the other hand, the interface and options make DragLock look like an unfinished project. You can test it for yourself, though, since it's free.

This software application isn’t exactly what i was expecting – but it works! The most important feature of it is that you can lock your mouse movement.
You have to hold down two of the four keys on the top for the first key to work. When the keys are held down, you can lock the mouse to move vertically or horizontally, or you can lock the left or right mouse button.

Yes, that’s really what it says: DragLock Serial Key is a little software tool that lets you lock mouse movements to the vertical or horizontal axis. It lets you configure a hotkey combination that works like a mouse button. However, its function is more important than its name. While sitting in the notification area, this program doesn’t interfere with your PC activity. Instead, it provides a very easy way to temporarily restrict mouse movements to the vertical or horizontal axis by holding down a certain combination of keys. As of now, these keys are Alt, Ctrl, Shift, and Windows button.
DragLock Features:
Hide MouseCursorWhen pressed, DragLock shows a small mouse icon as a replacement for the cursor. If you decide to remove this icon from the taskbar, you can do it from the user controls interface.
Global OptionPressing one of the combination of the four keys mentioned above creates a global configuration which you can apply to your mouse and keyboard in a batch process. This is the key feature of the program. It lets you lock mouse movement to the horizontal or vertical axis. Once configured, you can try for yourself: just press the hotkey or hotkeys you’ve chosen and move the mouse in the way you’re not allowed to. This trick makes it much easier to exercise. It won’t prevent you from using your keyboard, but it might be a useful tool when you have to move your mouse. However, if you do so, you’ll be unable to change the direction until you release the hotkeys. You’ll find the best combination by trial and error or by researching the combination you’re looking for. As you can imagine, it’s better to have a hands-on solution. You can find a list of supported keys on DragLock’s website, which consists of the four hotkeys mentioned above and also some extra keys like ‘L’ and ‘R’.

I’ve been using the program for several weeks, but I hadn’t touched the trial version. It’s free and “simple”. It does use some resources, but not hugely so. I don’t have to worry about it eating up too much memory as long as I never run more than two programs at a time.
