After the creation of an AC3 command line it starts the FLAC encoder and starts it with a sample rate of 48 kHz, a bit depth of 16, and a channel bit depth of 6. The bit depth is set in the command line, while the sampling rate has to be set with the “-r” parameter. This means, that every sample rate can be specified. The parameters “-b” and “-c” are assigned to the bit depth and the channel bit depth.
