The Palette Parser application was developed to be a palette format parsing program. Designed to import a variety of file types (Adobe’s .ase and The GIMP’s .gpl currently supported) for viewing and exporting (.gpl currently supported).
Usage:
– Click the import button and select the palette.
– The file is parsed and the palette information is displayed.
– Click the export button and enter a filename. The palette is then exported in the .gpl
format, which can now be used directly in the GIMP program.

The Palette Viewer was developed to allow a “closable window” with the ability to drag an image to be added as an new image in the window. The image can be edited, stamped, or saved.
Currently, only the following file formats are supported:.ase,.rgbs,.jpeg,.bmp,.png,.tga,.psd,.pf3,.pct,.pcd,.exr,.exr,.rec,.mf,.mfd,.cam,.slr,.dal,.pbm,.mdr,.ppm,.pal,.pgi,.pgp,.peg,.eps,.ptg,.html,.svg,.pcx,.bz2,.rf,.cr2.

You can import palettes from.ase or.gpl image files. Currently only one instance of the program can be open at a time. If you open another instance you will lose the changes from the first instance.
You can import in stand-alone.gpl format or palette collections (format used by The GIMP). This enables you to make a backup of your palette files.
I use Adobe’s.ase palette format to have a palette for me to view my individual palettes as a way of memorizing the color scheme of a particular image. For people that just use their palettes for reference, I find it helpful to be able to export the list of palette items for that image into a.gpl file.
While you are in this application, your palette is stored in temporary files. This application does not alter your saved palettes, so they will be untouched if you are working with a large amount of palettes.
If you wish to use a very large number of palettes you may wish to store them in the.ase format in a directory. This allows you to add and remove them from your palette list as you wish to. This would probably be unnecessary for most people, but it would be nice for folks who regularly store a ton of palettes.
The application writes the name, colors and size of each palette into temporary files in.ase format. However, you can also export them in a variety of formats and save them to a directory of your choosing.
To import the data, double-click on the import button, and browse to the location where you wish to store the data, then click OK.
To import a collection of palettes (including collections exported from The GIMP), select Palettes->Import from File or collection from the context menu. You can also drag a file onto the import button to import a pallette collection.
There are various ways you can export your palettes. To export all palettes as a file:
– Palettes->Export All. This will prompt you to select the destination file.
– Palettes->Export All as.ase.
– Palettes->Export Palette File (exports each palette as a file) or
– Palettes->Export Palette Collections (export a collection of palettes as a file).

After experimenting with a bunch of different DVD Creator add-ons for burning MKV files, I decided to give Handbrake a try and see what it could do. For $15, the free version of Handbrake makes your MKV files playable with almost any DVD player or Xbox. Handbrake is easy to use and requires very little configuration.
