It is currently owned by Diversified Wrestling Federation’s main competitor, Daystar Dynasty Wrestling (DDW), and is defended as a professional wrestling championship in DDW events.
The title is contested in professional wrestling matches in which participants execute scripted finishes rather than contend in direct competition.
History
Initial founding
Before the start of DDW’s professional wrestling operations, the Red, Black and Gold World Championship was created for an event that was advertised to feature DDW’s inaugural event featuring DDW, Daystar Dynasty Wrestling (DDW) and DDW training school, DDW Under the Banner (DUB). It was promoted as the sole DDW title where it was defended within both DDW and DUB events until the original event was cancelled.
The original title was defended exclusively on DDW events until 2014. That year, the title became a championship title contested for on DDW events and defended on DDW shows; the title was defended in the inaugural DDW vs. DUB event for DDW and DDW vs. DDW Under the Banner events where the champion could chose to defend the title on DDW shows or DUB shows.
The first champion of the original title was Du Zhigang, who won the title defeating Jerry Cheng in a title match at DDW’s inaugural event.
In 2017, DDW Vice President Zhang Yang announced that the DDW title will be revived as a championship title on DDW events. He also stated that the championship will be defended on DDW shows and DDW events until no one challenge the champion; that challenger’s win would result in no championship being contested for on that show. That year, the title was defended for the first time on DDW’s inaugural event (DDW Under the Banner: Night 2), with Dalton via a disqualification win over Lin Quxiang
