The version that is currently available for download may have some technical limitations, but as far as i know they are no security breaches.
From what i’ve experienced the addon is quite accurate as far as modifying the screens being displayed is concerned. The options are comprehensive enough to suit any purpose (as far as i could tell), and the addon is very intuitive to use. I am a heavy Thunderbird user, so i am not particularly familiar with other email clients, but from what i’ve seen the addon works with them. I haven’t found any reason to keep the extension anywhere else.
In order to get the addon running, you need the add-on enabled, then you will need to download it as an extension. When downloading, you will need to allow the addon to add a new extension to Firefox, but you can always revoke the permissions in case you want to revert to the state where the addon is not accessible.
