GSEGYView is a program that is designed to view the seismic data from a GRAY-encoded SEG-Y file.
From the main menu you can choose to:
1) view the data by picking the time-offset graphically.
2) view by source (frequency picker) or by receiver (magnitude picker).
3) calculate the eikonal, prestack depth, source depth, and receiver depth.
4) save the data to a file for an animation or print screen.
5) save the data to a file for an animation.
6) print the view to a PostScript file.
7) view the data as an animation.
There are two options for colorization: choose the spectrum palette, or the wavelet palette.
Under the menu bar there are the following options:
1) choose the color palette. The program will then ask you for the number of colors to use in the spectrum palette. Choose the main frequency of the data (Hz) and the following options will be displayed for choosing the color palette:
a) peak colour
b) minimum colour
c) mid-range colour
d) average colour
e) text colour
2) choose the wavelet palette. The program will ask you for the number of colours to use in the wavelet palette.
3) choose a window dimension for the plot.
4) open a window and set the dimension.
5) set the color palette to override the palette from the file.
6) clear the spectrum and wavelet palettes to use the colours from the file.
