– Integration with Expression Blend for Windows Phone. Visual Basic Windows Phone applications are not currently supported in Expression Blend for Windows Phone.

For years Microsoft has been implementing Silverlight into the windows platform and once you have installed the.net framework you can start integrating the OS with your XAML page using all the features of Silverlight.
The problem I have with the platform is that there are no UIs for the UI elements of Windows Phone 7.
Silverlight is a new platform and as you can imagine there are some new features such as Javascript functions, JSON web services and Ajax.
Accessing those features through Silverlight is a bit of a chore and you have to spend some time creating a UITypeScript class for the API calls.
Recently there has been a lot of buzz around a new platform called Windows 8 and it is clear the developers behind this OS saw the limitations of the XAML platform and were eager to find a replacement.
