IpInterceptor is a tool for capturing packets on a network. It can “sniff” packets for a certain protocol and then write them into a file.
The software works seamlessly with Windows Pcap, and can capture packets in multiple ways.
– Standard capture (frame by frame)
– Active mode (notify other programs if a packet is sent or received)
– Passive mode (sniff and stop, detect if packets are sent)
– Wait for detection (sniff, detect, notify)
The software can then show the results in various ways:
– Show all the detected packets as a graph

1 – Start the software: double-click on IpInterceptor.exe (it should be already present on your Windows system)
2 – Select the correct capture mode:
– Active: notifies other programs when packets are sent/received.
– Passive: just sniff
– Wait for detection: wait until you receive some packets
3 – Select your capture device:
– Local PC: select “Local PC” (your workstation). The packets are saved in the “IpInterceptor.cap” file
– Remote PC: select “Remote PC” (your other workstation). The packets are saved in the “IpInterceptor.cap” file
4 – Set filters:
– Select the filters for the capture mode (or only allow packets to go through):
o Active: Select “Conversation.Match”
