1. Select the tools you want to use
First, make sure you have selected the tools you want to use in your graphic editing.
You can use the shortcut keys, select tools, or switch to the tools from View > Toolbox.

All tools are accessed by moving your mouse or using the keyboard.
Shuffle your tools
You can use the Command (Windows) or Control (Mac) keyboard to move through the tools you are using.
To move between tools, press Command/Control + Tab.
To move to the top of the tools, press Shift + Tab.
You can also use the arrows on your keyboard.
To scroll up, press up arrow key.
To scroll down, press down arrow key.

Quality of end-of-life care has become an important issue in recent years, and a growing number of medical centres apply measures to promote this aspect of patient care. The present study was undertaken to evaluate and compare the family’s and physician’s experience of end-of-life care in the intensive care unit. We performed a prospective, multicenter questionnaire-based study in five intensive care units in Germany. The instrument contained 25 statements on background, experience and expectations. The questionnaire was distributed to family members of patients who had died in the intensive care unit and to the physicians who had attended the patient on that occasion. In all, 120 questionnaires were returned, for a response rate of 62.5 %; 98 were completed by the physicians and 22 by the relatives. Statements that were significantly more often rejected in the physician group were: “The physicians lack experience in end-of-life care” and “Patients should be allowed to die without agitation and inconvenience.” In both groups the most frequent expectations for end-of-life care were the reliability of the physician and sufficient expertise to handle the patients’ situation. The physicians judged the topic of end-of-life care as being underrepresented in their training. There are distinct differences in the expectations of family members and the physicians. The physicians are only half as likely to agree to statements on end-of-life care as are the relatives. Family-physician collaboration will be easier if there is more discussion of end-of-life care in the context of continuing education for the physicians.
