Limitations:
￭ In Access 2000/XP files, this software cannot recover passwords that contains more than 18 characters.

You need to enter the two following paths : (replace XXX with user ID of the database or the path to the file)
Get Access Pass will create an ACE file called `XXXX\logfile.txt` where `XXXX` is the User ID. Inside this file, you will find the access password(s) you were able to find, separated by comma

￭ If the Access Password is blank or contains only the “@” character, Get Access Pass will not be able to recover it.
￭ If Get Access Pass finds several Access Password(s) it does not know, it will show you in the log file a list of the most plausible options.

According to my experience, if you reinstall windows, the user password will change and automatically it will create the the new access Password.Because the windows could not recognize the old account and password automatically so you need to change the user password manually.
In general, I would recommend that you create a new user and administer it. Perhaps you may have missed a step when installing the program? If you were using an online tutorial, it might explain the full steps.
Are you talking about MS Access 2000 or version? To recover password in version you must install Access 2003 and using the standard dialog for recover password in version you need to enable “Reset Password” function in Access 2003 setup and it is working fine now.
your solution for me is to use open office, i had the same problem last week but in your case you have a virus on your computer, i found solution for your problem i was also having the same problem but i did not know the way to find the solution, so here it is.
what i did was
the way i tried to solve was as follows
1 open your MS Access Database in Open Office Writer
2 in order to do this you need to right click on the Microsoft Access Database and then you will see the option “open” just click on that.

It’s easy to get Access Database password that is protected by a password and a username. The mdb file generally contains a password which can be recovered by this software.
This software can also save the passwords from all the other databases which created the same mdb files. So you can use the recovered password in other database files.
How to get Access Password?
Step 1: The software installs an executable file in C:\WINNT\System32\drivers\etc. You can also run the file directly by double-clicking it.
Step 2: Next run the application and you can see the names of the database files. Right-click one of the database files and choose “Get Access Password”.
Step 3: When the “Get Access Password” window opens, choose the language you want to recover the database password.
￭ In Access 95/97/2000, you can find the link “Add/Remove Access User”. Click the link then choose the database password.
