I would like to create a folder called “My Downloaded” that contains all of the downloading files I have downloaded. I can easily just copy the file straight into a folder.

It’s possible by using os.walk(). This returns a list of the directories. In each directory, it will check each file and keep the file or move it into the “My Downloaded” folder. This method won’t trigger the “Moved to Downloaded” message again.
EDIT: This only works on Windows.
def moveToMyDownloaded(theDirectory):
for root, dirs, filenames in os.walk(theDirectory):
for filename in filenames:
fullpath = os.path.join(root, filename)
if os.path.isfile(fullpath):
os.rename(fullpath, ‘../MyDownloaded/’ + filename)

The part with “Moved to Downloaded” works by changing the owner of the path to an user with “System” rights and the permissions of the “My Downloaded” directory as 755.
