The aim of NoDel is to make your file and folder so that they cannot be deleted by you.
The most famous of this features are the following:
NoDelete:
NoDelete keeps folders empty.
Not Delete:
Not Delete can be used to set files and folders to be deleted after a certain period.
NoWrite:
NoWrite is a feature that only allows you to rename the existing file and folder. You cannot create or delete it. NoWrite keeps files unchanged.
You can start NoDel and leave it running until the next reboot. You just have to go to your Desktop and click right-click the file you want to protect and click on “Properties”. Go to the tab “Security” and check the boxes “Read Only” and “Take ownership”.
You can do this quickly by entering the command “chmod 600 file/folder” to set it to only be opened by the owner (Administrator) and the group, and 600 means it cannot be removed from the file/folder.
How to Install NoDel:
Step 1: Download the file noDel_setup.exe.
Step 2: Enter the location you want to set to be protected,
example: “C:
oDel”
Step 3: Press the Finish button to start the installation.
Step 4: Enjoy the newly installed tool.
Step 5: Run the noDel application and enjoy the powerful new features.
Note: To avoid any run-time problems, make sure the path you enter in the directory box is correct.
