You can use browser’s performance tool for this:
For the box-shadow you’re saying is in RGB (0,0,0), then the second
one is slower because it needs to multiply each color by 0, 0, 0,
0, 0, 0, 0 (it has 4 * 8 * 3 = 96 factors to multiply by).
However, because 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0 is easier to compute, it will
take slightly less time to multiply.
Because of this, the second one is always a bit slower to do than the
first one.
You should try to separate your styles by reusing the variables. For example, you could use:
